Deep Shade

This richly-textured painting captures the moment when light filters in between the leaves of dense foliage, into the deep shade within. It is an every-day scene on my daily walks and one that always draws my eye.

A range of mark-making and media were used to build the layers including acrylic, chalks and oil pastels.
